Darul Uloom Delhi was established on 10 October, 1991 by Maulana Abdul Sattar Salam Qasmi. This institution served for several years in an uninhabited masque in a non-Muslim area. It was shifted to another location due to incompatible situations. It was registered on 13 November, 2001 with the name of Darul Uloom Delhi Trust and it was decided to perform all activities of Darul Uloom Delhi under the said trust in August 2005. The trust got the 80-G certificate from the income tax department of the government of India, which helps to give the tax benefits to the donors.
Darul Uloom Delhi is a member of Rabta Madaris-e-Islamia Arabia of Darul Uloom Deoband. Initially Darul Uloom Delhi provided the education up to Fadilat level, but due to shift to a new location it had to limit its educational activities to the memorization and reading of Holy Quran for several years. With the grace of Allah the trust purchased a cemented house last year in Joga Bai extention, Jamia Nagar New Delhi – 25, with a cost of Rs. 11 lacs and fifty thousand and it spent some lacs for building some rooms on the upper floor, in which three experienced teachers are providing the intonation, memorization and primary level education and ethical training.
DDarul Uloom Delhi also got the service of an excellent Qari. The trust is trying to purchase a neighboring two story house with the cost of Rs 17 lacs approximately in order to restart the Arabic classes along with the diploma courses. The trust requests all benevolent people to pay attention to this good cause.
